Textures has existed in various forms for more than eight years. What began as a small store in Cockermouth Craft & Gift Centre selling rag-rugs, kitchenalia and second hand curtains evolved into a much bigger stall selling new curtains made from wonderful, top name remnants or roll ends. We are very proud of our loyal following of customers from Cockermouth who still have curtains from the early days and always come back to us whenever they need soft furnishings.

In 2004, a move to Keswick to the wee shop near George Fisher's selling craft's and Val's jewellery preceeded the move 'Up the stairs' on St. John's St. and then in 2006 to the current premises, next to 'Open All Hours'.

We are very grateful for the regular customers who come back time and time again but also welcome the new customers who come through the door each day.

Many people come into the shop and confess they have a hoard of fabrics at home - this was how it all started for me; a house heaving with fabric so that I eventually had to start to find a shop to put it all in. Fabric is a passion for many people, it certainly is for me.
